Mr. Seard has over twenty years of real estate sales, marketing, and financing experience, working with America’s leading corporations along with several years of new home construction management experience. A skilled strategic planner and group leader, with a thorough knowledge of all facets of community-based counseling as well as a wide range of financing programs, for first-time homebuyers and existing homeowners alike, with outstanding analytical, creative, presentation and communication skills.
In addition, he has direct experience with state, local, federal government, and private sector programs and initiatives designed to promote affordable and market-rate housing, as well as economic and community re-development. Mr. Seard has participated in programs, including FHA, CDBG, Rural Housing Services (formerly Farmers Home Administration). FFILB community support programs, Freddie Mac, tax abatement and similar local development tools and resources, and the various initiatives to attract economic development to under-served inner-city and rural communities.
John has represented several of the nation’s largest lending institutions. Most noticeably is his work with North American Mortgage Company, helping achieve national recognition for its community lending effort. His duties required participation in the development and implementation of marketing programs in support of the company’s affordable housing efforts, as well as, focusing heavily on building relationships with housing finance agencies, non-profit organizations, churches and community groups to provide borrowers with homeownership and financing guidance. By providing technical understanding on products and services that increased the availability and affordability of housing finance for low to moderate and middle-income families he was able to help more than one hundred families become home owners.
